Design by Lucian Bernhard
Lucian Bernhard (1883–1972) was a German graphic designer, influential in the development of the Plakatstil (Poster Style) and Sachplakat (object poster) styles as exemplified by his Priester Match poster. In 1922 he moved to New York, and in 1928 he opened Contempora Studio, the first international design studio. His clients included Cat's Paw, ExLax, and Amoco.
